Sandcastle

She dug herself into a hole

stayed there for a while

then dug herself out

she used the sand to build others a castle

She looks out at the big, fierce ocean

gently washing against the castle,

so, she tries daily to patch the walls

to keep the tide from taking it away

but sometimes she looks into the ocean

and wishes it would wash her away too

still, she knows, done day she will return to mother nature when it is her time

so, she turns back to the shore and keeps building her sandcastle
