Fuck society’s expectations

Go to school, get married, start a family and pay taxes

When do we actually get to create our own access?

They don’t see humans, they see numbers on lists.

We’re barcodes they scan, with a corporate fist

A product to market, a profit to twist

We break our backs

So, their pockets stay wide

They call it the system

But it’s a legalized soul homicide

Killing passion, killing purpose

Killing who we are inside

So, fuck society’s expectations and let's be our own creations

Because they want us to follow the path they defined

A conveyor belt life and a factory line mind

But we refuse to be molded into something confined

We are our own blueprint, we are our own design

So, Fuck society’s expectations and let's be our own creation

Let's be our own salvation, and stimulate our wildest imagination

Even when motivation dies and discipline takes the throne

Even when our hope runs low

We can remind ourselves that we are not alone

They call it rebellion when we choose our own way

But it’s not rebellion, it’s just us living and not tolerating what’s not okay

They say be quiet, we say resist

They say just settle, we say persist

They say fit the mold, we say we will not shrink to exist

And live our lives to the fullest and be our own alchemist.

Sincerely,

Suree
