It's Just snow

White, white, everything is white.

Why can't I feel anything?

This happens every year.

When winter comes.

I go numb.

It's just snow, they said.

Make the most out of it, they said.

Come inside my mind and stay for a while

And tell me that you don't want out.

It's so hard to explain.

It' snatches away all the dopamine in my brain.

I want to scream I want to shout,

I just want to get this feeling out.

What exactly that makes me sad?

It is this cold weather, or me going mad?

It can't be that bad, it's just snow.

so let it go, let it go, let it go.

Seasonal affective depression is not for everyone,

for those lucky ones, please be kind

We don't want this either, but I guess it chose us.

We'll have to fight it every year,

and be ready to dry up the unwanted tears.

sometimes, those mountains can seem so high

but every day, we continue to try
